Installing and configuring antivirus software

Before you install AntiVirus:

• 
  Close all programs on your machine, so that you won't lose work when you restart the machine during this installation.
• 
  Log in with a user name and password for an account with administrative privileges.
• 
  Disable or uninstall all other anti-virus and firewall applications that may interfere with the installation process.

Installing antivirus software:

1) Go to the BevoWare download site and select the appropriate version of Norton AntiVirus (NAV) for your version of OS X. If you are using OS X 10.4 (Tiger), download NAV 10. If you are using OS X 10.3.9 or earlier, download NAV 9.

2) Double-click the downloaded disk image file (.dmg).

3) Double-click the Norton AntiVirus icon and follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete installation.

4) Reboot your machine when installation is complete.

5) Drag the Norton AntiVirus installer and the downloaded file (ending in .sit or .dmg) to the Trash, then empty it.
